Palm Beach County sits just north of the High-Velocity Hurricane Zone, so it isn’t governed by the Miami-Dade NOA system that Broward and Miami-Dade are. Instead, Palm Beach falls in Florida’s Wind-Borne Debris Region, with design wind speeds generally in the 140–160 mph range and roofing products approved under the statewide Florida Product Approval system. It’s a slightly different code than the HVHZ counties to the south — and as a contractor working across all three counties, we know exactly what Palm Beach requires and build to it.
